Shamrock Shimmy 2.0

Our take on the infamous Shamrock Shake, the Shamrock Shimmy 2.0 is a Brother Justus favorite. We start with a generous pour of our American Single Malt, add a decadent house-made Andes mint chocolate syrup, and top it with liquid ice cream and a sprig of mint. This creamy, dreamy, minty cocktail will have you dancing a jig in no time!

 

How to Make It

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Brother Justus American Single Malt Whiskey

  • 1 1/2 oz Liquid Ice Cream (recipe below)

  • 1 ounce Andes Mint Syrup (recipe below)

  1. Add all ingredients to shaking tin with ice.

  2. Shake well to incorporate until frost forms on the outside of the shaker.

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.

  4. Garnish with a mint sprig and enjoy!

To make the Liquid Ice Cream:
Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 25 drops green food coloring

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.

  2. Blend to incorporate.

  3. Date, label, and refrigerate for up to 10 days.

To make the Andes Syrup:
Ingredients

  • 16 oz crushed Andes mints

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup light corn syrup

  1. In a pot, combine heavy cream and corn syrup. Let warm, but do not boil.

  2. In a bowl or separate pot, add crushed Andes mints.

  3. Pour warmed cream-syrup mixture over Andes mints. Stir to incorporate.

  4. Date, label, and refrigerate for up to 10 days.
